Clara's Corner

Our church family is experiencing both gratitude and sorrow in the passing of our dedicated and memorable  member, Mr. Carston H. Lee. We are grateful to God for allowing us as a church family to know and share friendships with Mr. Lee.  He added so much to the life of everyone who knew him because he was so supportive and optimistic. His encouragement to the youth and older adults meant so much to each of us. Our prayers and our condolences are extended to his family. Despite his lengthy illness, he fought a great fight and left lasting memories.
On another note, our church family had the opportunity to express our gratitude to Pastor Mitchell, Sis. Mitchell, and the Mitchell children on June 4th and 6th for Pastor Mitchell's 11th Year Anniversary.
Sis. Mitchell was elaborately dressed in an immaculately creamy off-white suit acessorized with hot pink.
Rev. Michell, on the other hand, was equally dressed in a subtle grey pin-stripped suit with all of the amenities. The two talented Mitchell sons were replicas of their dad. The three Mitchell girls were pretty as any picture in their hot pink full length bouffant dresses. They were picture-perfect pretty. Many expressed openly how Rev. Mitchell had influenced their lives spiritually, and those of us who did not openly speak definitely felt that our lives, too, had been extremely blessed these past eleven years. Rev. Davis, the guest speaker, was really a good preacher and kept us attentive and informed despite the lateness of the hour.
The  anniversary committee did a fantastic job honoring our pastor. Sis. Mtchell made the right choice.
Tina Reed composed a song for Rev. and Sis.Mitchell and the mass choir sang it from their hearts.
This eleventh anniversary s-u-p-e-r!!
Many members of our church family are ill and we solicit your prayers for them.
